Biography

Max Tappeiner is the President of Wynn Al Marjan Island and Wynn Mayfair, a role he assumed in September 2024 after serving as Executive Vice President of Operations at Wynn Las Vegas since January 2023. Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently under construction in Ras al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, and is scheduled to open in 2027.

With more than two decades of hospitality experience and a background in consulting clients across the technology, marketing, and travel sectors, Mr. Tappeiner brings extensive operational and strategic expertise to his role. In this capacity, he leads the pre-opening strategy and team for Wynn Al Marjan Island, the UAE's first integrated resort, overseeing operational readiness, guest experience planning, resort programming, and the recruitment and onboarding of 9,000+ colleagues. He also oversees the operations and strategic direction of Wynn Mayfair in the heart of London's Mayfair district.

Prior to joining Wynn Las Vegas in 2023, Mr. Tappeiner was the Senior Vice President of Operations at Resorts World Las Vegas, where he managed the successful opening of the $4.3 billion project. Mr. Tappeiner also served as Vice President of Hotel Operations at the Venetian Resort, where he oversaw various functions of the 7,100-room property during his four-year tenure.

In addition, Mr. Tappeiner worked with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group for 12 years, where he held various leadership positions in hotel operations and food and beverage in locations including Munich, London, and Washington, D.C. Mr. Tappeiner also assisted in the expansion of the hotel group by opening two flagship locations in New York in 2003 and Las Vegas in 2009.

Mr. Tappeiner graduated with an Executive MBA from the Royal University of Melbourne, Australia.
