Biography

Mr. Tappeiner is the President of Wynn Al Marjan Island, a role he assumed after serving as Executive Vice President of Operations at Wynn Las Vegas since January 2023. Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently under construction on Ras al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates and is scheduled to open in early 2027.

With more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, and a background in consulting for clients in tech, marketing, and travel, Mr. Tappeiner brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his current role at Wynn Las Vegas. Current operations within his purview include hotel, food and beverage, catering and banquets, nightlife, engineering, entertainment operations, and guest relations.

Prior to joining Wynn Las Vegas, Mr. Tappeiner was the Senior Vice President of Operations at Resorts World Las Vegas, where he managed the successful opening of the $4.3 billion project. Mr. Tappeiner also served as Vice President of Hotel Operations at the Venetian Resort, where he oversaw various functions of the 7,100-room property during his four-year tenure.

In addition, Mr. Tappeiner worked with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group for 12 years, where he held various leadership positions in hotel operations and food and beverage in locations including Munich, London, and Washington, D.C. Mr. Tappeiner also assisted in the expansion of the hotel group by opening two flagship locations in New York in 2003 and Las Vegas in 2009.

Mr. Tappeiner graduated with an Executive MBA from the Royal University of Melbourne, Australia.
