Steve Weitman is the President of Wynn and Encore Las Vegas, a position he was promoted to in January 2023 after devoting seven years as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer. In his current role, Mr. Weitman is responsible for overseeing operations across the resort, with an emphasis on developing unique guest programming and events. During his tenure at Wynn, Mr. Weitman also served as Senior Vice President of Food and Beverage – providing strategic direction for all the resort’s dining experiences. His nearly 20 years at Wynn and Encore have aided in the company receiving more Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star awards than any other independent hotel company in the world.
Prior to joining Wynn Las Vegas, Mr. Weitman was the Director of Operations and Licensing for Disney Regional Entertainment – a division of the Walt Disney Company – where he oversaw all facets of business development. During Mr. Weitman’s nine years at Disney, his other roles included Director of Operations for ESPN Zone and Director of Operations and Finance for Club Disney. In addition, he previously held the position of Vice President of Operations at Wondercamp Entertainment Co., and Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen and Company.
Mr. Weitman is an ardent member of the Las Vegas community, having served with The Neon Museum, Nevada Restaurant Association, Culinary Academy of Las Vegas, and most recently, the UMC Governing Board. Mr. Weitman is also a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy.
Mr. Weitman graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Ithaca College and received a Master of Professional Studies at Cornell University, with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Food and Beverage.
